#CCP's crackdown is getting crazier and crazier, that's all we can say. Months ago it has been claiming that Apple Daily must be shut down "by law", the law it is referring to one that descended on #HongKong without any popular consent, completely bypassing the legislative and even executive branch of #HK. Amidst another arrest earlier today of an opinion writer of the paper, #AppleDaily has decided to stop printing by tomorrow, its website will come to an end too. The best-selling, the only pro-democracy newspaper in #HongKong shut within a week, this sh** is virtually unheard of in the whole world. Some say #CCP is in a hurry to close the paper down before July 1, 100th anniversary of the founding of the party and also of #HongKong's handover, which to us, marks the beginning of #HK's death.
