Police Commissioner Chris Tang: the number of people prosecuted in 7.21 Yuen Long incident is not considerably low.
Editor’s note: The Yuen Long attack was a mob attack that occurred in Yuen Long on 21 Jul, white-shirted men with suspected triad background were seen attacking people in the station with wooden sticks and steel rods.
(22 Nov) 4 months after the 7.21 Yuen Long incident, there are 6 people being prosecuted in total.
Chris Tang, the newly-appointed Commissioner of Police of the Hong Kong Police Force, responded to the doubt about the number of prosecuted in 7.21 Yuen Long incident being disproportionate to other protests.
He believed that the number of people arrested in 7.21 Yuen Long incident is similar to the number of those being prosecuted after protests on 9 June, 12 June and 31 August etc. Tang reiterated that once evidence has been found, the suspect would be arrested immediately.
Tang said, the police would investigate any cases if they noticed the use of violence, regardless of the ideology behind. They would then arrest and prosecute the suspects if evidence supports.

Police: “Protesters Were Led to Yuen Long Station by Malevolent Ringleaders During 7.21 Attacks”; Pro-Democracy Legislator Refutes Such Claims
PPRB Senior Superintendent, Kwong Wing Cheung had been interviewed by Cable TV. When asked about the 7.21 Indiscrimate Attacks in Yuen Long Station, he criticised those whom he claimed had "organised the entire ordeal" and "lead protesters to Yuen Long Station".
Legislative Councillor and victim of the 7.21 Indiscriminate Attacks, Lam Cheuk-ting refuted these claims. He reiterated that civilians had been attacked long before he arrived at the scene. He deplored the police force for spreading rumours and lies fabricated by Junius Ho Kwan-yiu, which only served to deepen the existing social divide and intensify phobias within society.
