Police Assaulted First Aiders and Press during New Year March
1726 Wan Chai
During the 2020 New Year rally, Police fired tear gas grenades to civilians without warning.
A first-aider fainted amidst the pungent tear gas and was carried away by another first aider from the smoggy area.
Police also pointed gun at reporters and threatened the press with a gesture to fire.
Police later shot teargas grenade directly at the journalist from United Social Press.

Foreigner Pepper-Sprayed by Police
A foreigner was pepper-sprayed in Causeway Bay MTR station. He was treated by first-aid volunteers. The foreigner said that police should not have used violence against everyone as civilians had protested peacefully. He also show appreciation to first-aid volunteers.

Foreigners hid in the fridge in an attempt to evade police tear gas attack
On New Year Day, police fired tear gas in downtown district, causing many passersby to choke and fall victim to the pungent gas.
In Causeway Bay, several foreign ladies fled in terror from the police tear gas attack. They ran to a convenience store and attempted to hide inside the fridge. Tear gas went into the store, frightening them even more.
