Police Refuse to Show their Warrant

While police showed the identity card of a Stand News reporter in front of the camera that was broadcasting live, they themselves refused to show their warrant card, which is a violation of regulation.
Police officers in Mongkok had their warrant cards. However, those that had only showed the back of the card; while some others did not have their cards displayed shown.

Riot police searched Voluntary First-aiders, taunted reporters to take mugshots to reveal their identities
Concerned about the nuisance caused by parallel traders to Sheung Shui residents, a March was organised yesterday (5 January) in the border city, which ended with riot police rounding up dozens of protesters, mostly young and clad in black, deploying pepper-spray and rubber bullets after a short standoff.
On the city side of Hong Kong, riot police was equally reckless, as they stopped and searched 2 to 3 voluntary first-aiders in Mong Kok in late afternoon. During the search, reporters were prompted to take photos, “go take mugshots, [they] don’t have First Aid pass”, one officer taunted.

There are so many people at the market and the queue is all the way at the back staircase. People need to take the stairs to leave the market because there is no room to wait for the lift. The place is jammed packed!
There are many handicraft products at the Lunar New Year market. The most distinctive ones are “fai chun” calligraphy and face masks that glow whenever there is movement. This Lunar New Year market is just like all typical “dry goods” Lunar New Year markets and does not have much products connected to the movement.
