Shop With You in Tsim Sha Tsui Failed As Raptor Squads Surround Mall

Over 80 members of the Raptor Squad stormed into Harbour City after the alarm rang twice. Meanwhile, riot police continued guard the entrances of the mall.

The Raptor Squads were split up into details of 20 personnels, patrolling the area surrounding Canton Road.

Human Chain in Hong Kong on New Year's Eve

In Tsim Sha Tsui, citizens chanted slogans while forming a human chain. Especially during the Light Show arranged by the Tourism Board at 8pm, citizens shouted "Liberate Hong Kong, Revolution of Our Times" and "Stand With Hong Kong" in response.

At the scene, a bag of red dates passed to the hands of the human chain participants in Tsim Sha Tsui was said to have come from Tsuen Wan (almost another end of the metro line).

On New Year's Eve, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam visited the Police Headquarters in Wanchai. She looked at how the police force provided meals for frontline officers.

Lam pointed out the backing of the authorities' behind the Hong Kong Police Force. She also claimed the people of Hong Kong and the international community would one day realize how excellent the Hong Kong Police Force was. She described the Police Force as the "biggest asset" of the Hong Kong Government.

HK Police Warns Family and Journalists of Gathering Ban Violation

20-year-old Hongkonger Chan Yi Chun, Zero had been charged with attacking police officers and aiding the escape of three protesters in a police-civilian cinflict on 15 Septermber, 2019 in North Point, Hong Kong. He is nicknamed "Brother Ngok" for wearing a pullover with the character "Ngok" written on it and many netizens have expressed respect for his bravery. In a widely circulated video, Chan was seen returning to aid three civilians and was injured by the police baton himself.

Chan was released from jail on December 31, 2020, with welcome from his parents and girlfriend. His mother held his hands tightly. After his thanks for the work of journalists, he looked relaxed and left by a car.

While the group was waiting for Chan, they were warned by police officers to practise social distancing measures. Otherwise they will be fined by violating the social gathering ban. Chan's mother told the police that she just wanted to pick up his son. Apart from the warning, PPRB officers also marked down the HKIDs of the journalists there.
