Pro-democracy Camp Members March to PRC's Hong Kong Liaison Office to Protest Against National Security Law
8 district councilors from the Neo Democrats, including Gary Fan Kwok-wai, marched to the Hong Kong Liaison Office from Western Police Station, holding slogans that shows "Xinnie shredding the Sino-British Joint Declaration", and those that read "Chinese Communist Party Stabilizing the Regime in the Name of 'National Security'" and "An Act That Shows Chinese Communist Party's True Nature (Under Its Sheepskin)".
Labour Party Chairman Steven Kwok Wing-kin, along with Leung Kwok-hung (Longhair) and Raphael Wong, among others, also marched from Sai Ying Pun to the Hong Kong Liaison Office, holding banners that read "How Can There Be National Security Without Democracy and Human Rights".
Meanwhile, heavy police presence is also sighted in Causeway Bay, where full-geared riot police with guns patrol around.

Netizens called for a march against Beijing's unilateral introduction of the Nation Security Law in Hong Kong, on top of many other broken promises including Hong Kong's autonomy, rights and freedom.
Starting in the morning, police could be seen on high alert, setting barriers for stopping cars at Western Harbour Crossing and Eastern Harbour Crossing tunnel entrances. Traffic to Tsim Sha Tsui had once been congested.
Meanwhile in Causeway Bay, police could be seen on standby in the concourse with their round shields.
The SOGO department store is holding its 35th anniversary sale, and is open as usual as of now but police could be seen patrolling outside.

Hong Kong Police Shot Child Directly With Pepper Bullet
In Wanchai, a child was shot by police with pepper ball along Lockhart Road. His back was wounded and has to be attended to by voluntary first aider. The child was in agony.
The child had lunch with his mother and was directly shot soon after he walked out of the restaurant.

Hongkongers took it to the streets to express their discontent over the National Security Law. Protests were seen in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island since the early afternoon of May 24.
In late afternoon, the protest gradually spilled over to Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok.
On Nathan Road, large groups of riot police were deployed to set up cordon lines and conducted stopp and search outside Langham Place and Grand Plaza. Two young men and 1 young woman were arrested.

Female Reporter Pulled Back and Allegedly Sexually Harrassed by Police Officer
The Anti-National Security Law protests spread to Tsim Sha Tsui, where tens of people gathered and shouted slogans in Habour City.
Riot police arrested a number of civilians at a narrow spot, stacking them on top of one another.
A female reporter from Stand News was thrust away multiple times, and even pulled from the back by a policeman.
Stand News strongly condemns the improper actions and will pursue legal action.

Hong Kong authorities "blocked" venue for once-annual candlelight vigil for Tiananmen massacre victims for a third year running
On May 24, a local daily, Ming Pao reported that the Leisure and Cultural Service Department (#LCSD), which administers the Victoria Park soccer pitches where the rally used to take place, has suspended any bookings on June 4, the 33rd anniversary of the #TiananmenMassacre, although bookings are available on other days in the same month.
Just 3 days afterwards, on May 27, the football pitches at Victoria Park were seen fully booked on June 4 from as early as 7am in the morning. No bookings, however, were seen for the rest of June. The same daily found.
The vigil has been banned -- ostensibly for public health reasons -- for the past two years and the leaders of its organizing group, the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, arrested for colluding with foreign powers under a national security law imposed by Beijing from July 1, 2020.

The highly coercive and potentially lethal systems of control used against minority groups in China’s internment camps have been revealed in a giant cache of secret documents shared with the BBC.
China insists the network of secure facilities built across its far western region of Xinjiang are simply “schools” for combatting extremism to which “students” sign up willingly. But the contents of the leaked Xinjiang Police Files suggest a different story.
Taking information from the leaked documents, the BBC has reconstructed one of the camps – the Shufu County New Vocational Skills Education and Training Centre - to reveal the methods used inside.
