Another example of how "strategic patience" and appeasement will only feed a tyrant's appetite. As world leaders are still worrying about losing #China's business if they properly call the atrocities against #Uyghurs a genocide, #CCP is wasting no time with its next victim, the Utsuls.

Why Imams are targeted? Being Uyghur and Muslim.
To kill a race - you kill their belief, refrain them from practicing their religion, destroy a big part of their culture ...
That's want happening in #xinjiang.

U.S. Allies Diverge Over Labeling China’s Treatment of Uyghurs as Genocide

China’s repression of Uyghurs is dividing U.S. allies over whether to characterize human-rights abuses against the mainly Muslim minority as genocide.

New Zealand’s government blocked on Wednesday a parliamentary motion that would have labeled China’s actions genocide, illustrating the precarious balancing act facing the South Pacific country between its longstanding ties and security alliance with the U.S. and its trade ties to China. Australia has also shown a reluctance to use the term.

Drop in Xinjiang birthrate largest in recent history: report

Xinjiang in far western China had the sharpest known decline in birthrates between 2017 and 2019 of any territory in recent history, according to a new analysis by an Australian think tank.

The report from the Australian Strategy Policy Institute, obtained exclusively ahead of publication by The Associated Press, showed the 48.74% decline was concentrated in areas with many Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other largely Muslim ethnic minorities, based on Chinese government statistics over nearly a decade.

How China is trying to limit births among Muslim populations in Xinjiang region

The Xinjiang city of Tiemenguan over the past two years has sought to boost its local constabulary by hiring new auxiliary police. Applicants must be under the age of 35, possess a high-school education and be in good physical condition.

But job-seekers must also meet a set of additional criteria, according to recruitment documents posted online. They must bring with them at least two relatives. And they must be Han Chinese, members of the country’s dominant ethnicity.

Amnesty International Report Describes Xinjiang's Situation as a “Dystopian Hell Landscape"

Amnesty International characterized the Chinese government’s actions against the Turkic Muslim population as a “crime against humanity” on Thursday (10 June). They publish a 160-page report, stating Uyghurs and Muslim minorities in Xinjiang are facing systematic abuse, including the torture tool “tiger chair” that a slight move can lead to great pain to the person in the seat.

Recently, many governments and international organizations accuse China of human rights violations. Among them, Amnesty International has been investigating the Xinjiang issue for years. This report describes the Chinese government's intention to remove Muslim cultures and traditions within the territory by different means. The report also states the government regards Turkic Muslim in the region as “extremists”. The report alleges that since most Xinjiang people are afraid of being imprisoned or badly treated, they stop praying nor following any act of Islam observance, including clothing, retouching and speech. Some locals said to Amnesty International, “We cannot say 'let peace be with you (as-salamu-alaykum)'. The government even ban Koran, prayer mats and other religious products.

The report also quotes evidence from Turkic Muslim that they are detained in Chinese government-called “re-education camps", with abuse by the authority. Turkic Muslim women were even forced to accept the system of sterilization or birth control.

China’s Uyghurs living in a ‘dystopian hellscape’, says Amnesty report

Amnesty International has collected new evidence of human rights abuses in the Xinjiang region of China, which it says has become a “dystopian hellscape” for hundreds of thousands of Muslims subjected to mass internment and torture.

The human rights organisation has collected more than 50 new accounts from Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other predominantly Muslim ethnic minorities who claim to have been subjected to mass internment and torture in police stations and camps in the region.
