A pregnant school teacher narrowly escaped a #ForcedAbortion after she was arrested in #China for her faith. To avoid persecution, she went homeless, which led to the death of her unborn baby.
Li Fengmei, a former English teacher from Liaoning Province, suffered endless abuses for her belief in "truthfulness, compassion, tolerance." Officers told her that she was arrested because of her "eloquence and good reputation,” adding that if they could make her renounce her #faith, they could then use her to transform other detainees.
