Don’t think we need to say anything else about how they would shut the whole live broadcasting because it doesn’t like what’s nominated.
We do want to congratulate all the nominees especially Chloe Zhao who’s the first woman of colour to be nominated for best director.

Welcome to dystopian #China, where women are not even treated as properties but tools. #CCP is always tampering with people's bodies, ignoring possible backfires. Haven't the need to change one-child policy to three-child policy recently taught them anything? More importantly, YOU ARE NOT GOD! You have no right to dictate what people do with their bodies. CCP's actions is simply revolting.

This isn't something new for China. What they need are an open mind and better sex ed, or else I feel bad for women in China.

Some TV/Movie censorship examples are below:
In 2005/06, China banned the cowboy romance, Brokeback Moutain, but then praised the Taiwanese(!) director Ang Lee for winning an Oscar for the movie.
Saying: "Ang Lee is the pride of Chinese(!?) people all over the world, and he is the glory of Chinese cinematic talent."
In 2018, though "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released in China, references to Freddie Mercury's sexuality and AIDS diagnosis were censored.
In 2021, "problematic" celebrities such as BTS, Lady Gaga were edited out of Friends TV Reunion.
