The HMS Richmond is part of the QEII (Queen Elizabeth II) Aircraft Carrier strike group, which have been touring the Indo-Pacific sea for the past few months.
It was recently (27th) sent to conduct "UN Sanctions enforcement" targeting the DPRK and is currently running alongside Japan, undertaking a planned routine maintenance programme.
The actions of the HMS Richmond clearly has no intention to threaten or provoke the CCP, and yet they still throw a tantrum over a perfectly legal naval manoeuvre.
