報告總結過去一年，香港100萬人在元旦當天參加要求民主的和平示威，中國卻在1月撤換駐港最高官員，換來毫無香港經歷、以強硬執行中共路線聞名的駱惠寧出任。6月30日，中國政府繞過立法會實施《港區國安法》，該法創建出多個特殊的秘密安全機構，剝奪人們得到公正審判的權利，授予警方更多橫掃一切的大權，加強管制公民社會與媒體，並且削弱司法監督。該法通過前夕，包括香港眾志等多個民主派團體宣布解散。立法後，香港教育局長禁止《願榮光歸香港》等抗爭歌曲在校園奏唱；公共圖書館下架民主派人士的著作。2019年抗爭口號「光復香港，時代革命」被當局視為非法。香港政府並以防疫為由宣布9月立法會選舉「延後」一年。香港的新聞自由也持續惡化，《頭條新聞》迫於政治壓力停播。⁣

It is understood that almost ONE THIRD of the tuition fees of the #UniversityofGlasgow are from Chinese students. The school has yet to retract this partnership, but said that they are dedicated to upholding academic freedom. Really?! What about the freedoms of the #Uyghurs, #Kazahks and other ethnic minorities repressed by #CCP which controls your "academic partner" too? Are they naive or just hypocritical?
