Under the current rule, goods are banned if there are reasonable evidence of #forecedlabour. But once the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act is signed into law, it would automatically assume that all goods from #Xinjiang is made by slaves. The act has received bipartisan support in the #US #Senate but still has to go through the #HouseofRepresentatives before passed to the White House, though we don't know when...

Let's face it, no number of signed documents is going to make China let people in to investigate the genocide in Xinjiang.

And 62 other countries (eg: Cuba) issued a counter statement saying that Xinjiang is China’s internal affair. (WTF).
The rival statement also dismissed all allegations of abuse there as based on “political motivation” and “disinformation.”
