香港機場管理局在1月新增「人臉辨識」登機閘口。然而局方在推新措施前一日，修改相關私隱條款，令可識別乘客身份的資料可送到第三方供應商。局方更拒絕向記者透露供應商身份。⁣

繼2018年機場增加自助保安閘口後，香港機場在1月5日再新增自助登機閘口，閘口以「人臉辨識」技術驗證乘客身份。首批自助登機閘口設於一號客運大樓10號至36號登機閘口，而其他登機閘口亦會分階段裝設。⁣
