The new British PM Truss is not at all liked by the CCP as she has been an unwavering critic of the CCP in British politics, and a strong defender of Western order and values. Whilst she was the International Trade Minister, Truss repeatedly challenged and condemned communist China for being characterized as a “developing country" within the World Trade Organization. On matters concerning Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, Truss has also called out the CCP’s policies against the Uighurs as "genocide", condemned the CCP for intimidation and increasing tensions in the Taiwan Strait, and advocated for the G7 to become an "economic NATO" in response to the CCP threat.
