英國港僑協會（HKB）近日向 #聯合國人權事務委員會 提交報告，供其審查香港的政治和公民權利等情況。本會創辦人 鄭文傑 Simon Cheng 和 負責人 Jason Chao 正在 #日內瓦 的 #聯合國威爾遜宮 出席正式簡報會。
在聯合國人權事務委員會的正式簡報會中，本會質疑《#港區國安法》（NSL）的正當性，它本身與《#香港人權法案條例》、《#基本法》第 39 條和《#國家安全法》第 4 條規定「《#公民權利及政治權利國際公約》（ICCPR）應在香港生效」的聲稱顯與事實不符。
聯合國人權事務委員會有責任確保成員盡可能遵守《公民權利及政治權利國際公約》。
本會敦促聯合國人權事務委員會質詢香港當局，《國安法》的施行何以不違悖 《公民權利及政治權利國際公約》所列明保護的言論、集會、結社、新聞、出版自由、和參政權利。
本會進一步敦促聯合國人權事務委員會宣布，由於極權政體加強控制公民思想，香港當局以「國家安全」為名將法律淪為鎮壓工具，從而違反了《公民及政治權利國際公約》。
本會強調，《港區國安法》所主張的效力將超越國籍和地域，正威脅和限制全球公民的自由、民主和人權。受政治迫害而導致的集體創傷和不安心理將不局限於流散港人社區，更將可能成為不分國族的全球問題。
由於如此嚴重的人權侵害，國際社會應追究香港和中國政府的責任，只有充分權力制衡的民主機制才能讓人民信服《國安法》，《公民權利及政治權利國際公約》應作為人民基本尊嚴的價值被重視和履行，方是《國家安全法》得以正當實施、行穏致遠的先決條件。

香港和中共當局不應該動用坦克和士兵，
或者秘密警察對付違抗政權想法的我們，
而是還予人民與生俱來應得的民主制度。

The Centre for Strategy & Evaluation Services (CSES) (http://www.cses.co.uk) is carrying out a research project on behalf of the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) (http://www.wea.org.uk), a UK non-profit organisation supporting adults through education.
CSES is an independent consultancy with several years of experience in conducting research and policy studies, who has been tasked by the WEA to carry-out a study to understand the learning needs of adult members of the Hongkongers’ community in the Southeast of England. CSES is partnering with Hongkongers in Britain and Hongkongers' in Brighton in this research.
The purpose of the study will be to assess the challenges related to entering the workforce and starting a business faced by the Hongkongers who recently moved to the Southeast of England. To this end, the members of the CSES research team would be very grateful to get the chance to speak to you to help them understand the current educational and training needs of Hongkongers in the UK. Based on the information you share, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) will design a learning programme that will be offered to support the Hongkongers living in the Southeast of England.
The online interview will last less than 45 minutes. Your answers to the interview will remain strictly confidential, which means that CSES will not share your name or details with anyone. They will use your answers only for the analysis and present the findings to the WEA in anonymised format.

這幾天在日內瓦，造就了許多的第一次，
雖然很努力地學習，也明白聯合國的龐雜和柔弱，
它的人和事，都要有百般耐力去耕耘，
但在一些場合當中，特別是面對那些為暴行代言的人，
我的內心和言辭還是變得激動。

初到英國的香港人未必清楚地方政府的服務及其運作，港僑協會與西南部香港人歡迎中心的代表合辦了一場網上講座向大家介紹地方政府的服務，並讓大家表達意見及發問問題。

We had sincere exchanges of our opinion with UNHRC members in the UN Palais Wilson at Geneva, and can feel the committee members' genuine compassion and concerns for Hongkongers who have had their human rights violated. We Hongkongers will also do our part to continue to defend and protect human rights of other fellow Hongkongers.
During the meeting, Geneva's Fountain Jet d'Eau welcomed us with a rainbow, a good omen and good wish.

Following the launch of the mental health section in our Know Your Rights Guide, MRN, Mind + Hongkongers in Britain are inviting you all to join us for a workshop!
This workshop is aimed at migrants who are struggling with their mental health, + who find it difficult to know where, + how to seek help. We hope the information provided will help attendees to better understand their rights + access the support they deserve.

The Centre for Strategy & Evaluation Services (CSES) (http://www.cses.co.uk) is carrying out a research project on behalf of the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) (http://www.wea.org.uk), a UK non-profit organisation supporting adults through education.
CSES is an independent consultancy with several years of experience in conducting research and policy studies, who has been tasked by the WEA to carry-out a study to understand the learning needs of adult members of the Hongkongers’ community in the Southeast of England. CSES is partnering with Hongkongers in Britain and Hongkongers' in Brighton in this research.
The purpose of the study will be to assess the challenges related to entering the workforce and starting a business faced by the Hongkongers who recently moved to the Southeast of England. To this end, the members of the CSES research team would be very grateful to get the chance to speak to you to help them understand the current educational and training needs of Hongkongers in the UK. Based on the information you share, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) will design a learning programme that will be offered to support the Hongkongers living in the Southeast of England.
The online interview will last less than 45 minutes. Your answers to the interview will remain strictly confidential, which means that CSES will not share your name or details with anyone. They will use your answers only for the analysis and present the findings to the WEA in anonymised format.
