Currently, there's a rumor about #CCP setting a deadline for #HKGov to close down @appledaily_hk either within this month or July1st. Although we can't be sure whether this rumor is true or not, the existence of the only news outlet that's free from #Beijing is at stake.

Beijing will take "unprecedented heavy-handed measures" to crack down on next month's vigil in Hong Kong to mark the Tiananmen Square massacre, a Beijing-friendly local outlet said Tuesday.
The annual gathering in Victoria Park—banned on health grounds for a second year running—is a "minefield" for those planning to attend on June 4, according to online news portal HK01. It will be the first memorial since China's sweeping Hong Kong national security law came into effect on June 30 last year.

In Nov’19, pan democrats won the district council election with landsliding result. Taking over 392 of the 452 seats. Now, most of them are resigning not by their own will, but because of the new mandatory oath.
The new oath is a new method that #HKGov use as an excuse to disqualify councils.
They can be disqualifed with vague reasons such as unpatriotic, not taking the oath whole heartedly, or posting protest slogans.
Once they are disqualifed, councils will be forced to repay all their salaries & allowance.
This is a new method that #CCP uses to remove an election. We sincerely urge countries that supports #hkdemocracy to take action & sanction #HK & #Beijing officials for their actions.

For a long time, #Beijing wanted to intervene the education system in #HK & develope a brainwashing curriculum similar to what they have in China. The education system was protected by the pro democracy Teachers Union for a long time. After #NationalSecurityPolice force it to disband using #NSL, the education system is also in jeopardy.
Because of the crackdown in education, it drives a lot of Teachers and families to immigrate. A lot of schools have found hundreds of students missing. Some schools received resignation from half of their teachers together.
