Der Film zeigt, wie die chinesische Regierung mithilfe von Konfuzius Instituten weltweit versucht, Einfluss auf die akademische Freiheit an Universitäten zu nehmen. Nach ausgiebigen Debatten über die Risiken der Verbreitung chinesischer Propaganda auf den Wissenschaftsbetrieb in demokratischen Staaten, wurden bereits mehrere Konfuzius Institute in verschiedenen Ländern wieder geschlossen.

Die Künstlerin Zuzanna Czebatul hat in den letzten Monaten Hongkong besucht und war Zeugin der dramatischen Veränderungen. Mit ihrer Kamera hat sie festgehalten, was sie bei den Demonstrationen erlebt hat. ttt hat sie in Berlin getroffen.
‼ Despite of suspected bribery and questionable counting method at some polling stations, up until now the pro-democracy camp has taken over half of the seats at the district election! HongKongers today regard the district council election as a particular front line of the whole demonstration. It also gives the people a precious hope that we stand a chance to win.
‼ What we should not forget:
there are STILL around 30 people trapped inside the #PolyU, for eight days since the police sieged the campus (the protesters lost their rights to vote today). We also don’t know if any of the elected candidates will be “disqualified” for any reason, as it happened before. The victory at this stage won’t stop the enlightened ones to fight further, the whole governmental establishment is still profoundly unjust.
‼ What we will not forsake:
just like the 2 million (plus one) who took to the streets, our messages are again, LOUD & CLEAR. Hereafter the ongoing democracy movement is further legitimized by the general will of the people. We will fight for our freedom until all our demands are met.

In Zusammenarbeit mit "We Love Asia Street Food" veranstalten wir am 30. November und 1. Dezember unsere erste vorweihnachtliche Spendenaktion für Hongkong am HO Berlin. Hier werden wir Ihnen den authentischen Geschmack der heißen Hongkong-Style-Eierwaffel (Gai Dan Jai) vorstellen, die von unseren Hongkonger Freunden handgemacht wird. Ebenso hausgemacht werden die klebrigen Reisbällchen in fermentierter Reisweinsuppe (手作酒釀枸杞珍珠) von unseren taiwanesischen Freunden sein. Außerdem werden wir im Rahmen des Spendenprogramms 200 handgefertigte Taschen mit dem Slogan "Stand with Hong Kong" verkaufen, um Mittel für zukünftige Kundgebungen und Veranstaltungen zu sammeln und das globale Bewusstsein für die äußerst besorgniserregende Situation in Hongkong zu schärfen. In this event, we will bring to you the authentic taste of the piping hot Hong Kong Style Egg Waffle (Gai Dan Jai) handmade by our fellow HongKongers and homemade Sticky Rice Balls in Rice Wine Soup by our Taiwanese friends. Also, we will be selling 200 handmade silk screened "Stand with Hong Kong" slogan tote bags as part of the donation programme, aiming to raise funds in support of local rallies and events to raise global awareness about the worrisome situation in Hong Kong. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
