The disintegration of #HongKong is happening at lightning speed. Don't settle for fake news, don't settle for lies, don't settle for information that seemingly doesn't require critical thinking, even if the truth is harder and harder to access. Still, we need it, it's a life and death matter.

The #Chinese wording was that #AppleDaily must be "replaced". How?! Apple Daily is the ONLY print media in #HK that is not afraid to speak out against #CCP, I doubt its "replacement" would dare to do that so - how exactly can it be replaced? Free thinking cannot be replaced. Ideas cannot be replaced. Hong Kong cannot be replaced.

Admin rant: Very hard to come up with a caption for any attacks on #PressFreedom in #HongKong. Since 2019, it's pretty much a commonly acknowledged fact that #freedomofpress is dead in #HK. But we must remember that while the norm is now the norm, it is NOT RIGHT. Even though we do not have press freedom now, never forget that it is what we deserve and we cannot accept less.

#CCP's is determined to wipe out any voices it doesn't like. #JimmyLai, already in maximum security prison, had his assets frozen under the #nationalsecuritylaw yesterday. More crackdown on press e.g. the legislation of against so-called "#fakenews", i.e. whatever #Beijing doesn't want you to hear, is to be expected.
