Today marks the 4th month since the death of Chow Tsz-lok. Citizens held a memorial in Tseung Kwan O, and riot police was deployed all around the district this afternoon. At around 2016, a man was seen being brought to a corner, and he lied on the ground. It was unsure if he was hurt. Riot police asked all reporters to leave, and surrounded citizens outside Sheung Lai House.

Blue flag was raised 5 minutes later, indicating that citizens were participating in an unlawful assembly, and warned people on spot that force would be used for dispersal.

A memorial was held in the Northwest New Territories in commemoration of 22-year-old Chow Tsz-lok who passed away on November 8, 2019. Pro-democracy Chow was hospitalized after falling from a carpark for reasons unknown during police operation in Tseung Kwan O.

Today some citizens have become emotional at the front of the defense line during the commemorative event.

Marco Leung's Death Anniversary: Citizens Pay Tribute with White Flowers

It's been a year since the death of Marco Leung, also known as the 'Yellow Raincoat Man' affectionately to many Hongkongers. Netizens have called for memorials to be held in multiple districts across Hong Kong.

Citizens were already seen gathering and paying their respects and tributes earlier on in the afternoon of June 16 at Pacific Plaza, which is located at Admiralty. About 30 people were seen on site. Some of them were dressed in black clothes and wearing white ribbons. There were also people laying white flowers on makeshift altars.

Among these items being placed in tribute to Leung was a card with these words written on it:

"Though it has been a year, Hong Kongers have never forgotten about you."

Crowds in Tin Shui Wai Gather in Remembrance of Protest Martyr

Several Tuen Mun District Councilor initiated memorials for Marco Leung Ling-kit, the Martyr who sacrificed himself in the name of defending the justice and democracy of Hong Kong last year. Throngs of citizens were seen nearby Tuen Mun Park and West Rail station paying tribute to Leung, laying down white flowers at the altar. Occasionally, the crowd chanted protest slogans, like, “Support fellow protesters, support them all the way”, “Hong Kong Independence, the only way out”, “Release the righteous, pay back justice”, “Fight to the end of my life”, etc.

One Year Since the Passing of Pro-democracy Student Alex Chow

On November 4, 2019 in Tseung Kwang O, Alex Chow Tsz-lok, a 22-year-old pro-democracy university student, fell from the third floor of Sheung Tak Carpark during a police operation.

On November 8, 2019, Chow passed away in a hospital at 8:09am. The cause of Chow's fatal fall remains unknown.

The coroner's court is scheduled to be held for 5 weeks, beginning on November 16, 2020. The court is expected to summon 60 witnesses (including 20 police officers, firemen, paramedics, voluntary first aiders and medical doctors) and analysts.

Since the passing of Chow, Hongkongers mourned Chow on the 8th day of every month across Hong Kong, despite police intervention. Today, on the one-year mark of Chow's death, netizens called for a memorial at Tseung Kwang O at 1930.

Armed police officers have been deployed in the area.
