Police not wearing mask properly while stationing at quarantine camp

The SAR Government has finally sent charter flights to evacuate stranded Hong Kong citizens in China's epicenter Wuhan. The returnees will be quarantined in Fo Tan's Chun Yeung Estate, a brand new public housing estate where the actual tenants were denied in last minute after the government forcefully turned the place into a quarantine camp.

Perhaps 'unafraid' of the spread of the virus, a police officer with his mask pulled down was sighted smoking with his colleague at the quarantine camp.

Yau Tsim Mong District Council Passes Motion Calling For Reforming the Police despite Government’s Obstruction

In a meeting on April 16, the Yau-Tsim-Mong District Council tabled a motion calling for restructuring of the Police Force. The Home Affairs Commissioner from the government, however, refused to provide secretariat services and denounced the motion as outside the remit of the Council.

The Commissioner, Police Representatives and three pro-establishment councilors left the meeting venue abruptly. In the absence of the secretariat, the motion was passed unanimously by 17 pro-democracy councilors.

During the meeting, the police commander refused to admit police excessive use of the force. He claimed that it was evident that "innocent protesters" were beaten by "violent protesters". Meanwhile, the government commissioner spoke to the media in an intimidating manner when he stormed out.

Third controversy amongst the top brasses of the Police Force, involving Commissioner PK Tang

The Boland Court high-rise duplex unit in Kowloon Tong once rented by Chris Tang Ping-keung, the head of the police force, was found to be illegally modified by reporters of Apple Daily.

The police issued a press release at 3 a.m. on May 4, two hours after the report was published, alleging that the news report was inconsistent with the facts. Tang admitted that as early as 2017, he knew that the Housing Department had issued an statutory removal order, which he then "immediately notified the owner of the removal order and asked him to remove the structure", moving out of the building in June 2019 after the owner refused to comply with the order.

The press release claimed that Apple Daily's report on the matter was untrue and expressed displeasure on it.

Australian Police deny ever teaching Hong Kong Police the "Soaring Bird" motorcycling technique, as the HK Force have claimed

The Hong Kong Police Force often claims to be the victim of fake news campaigns, yet many of their own statements have been revealed to be flat out lies.

The police earlier argued that there were "intranational examples" supporting the traffic police officer's practice of leaving both hands away from the motorcycle handlebars. When prompted, they failed to give any particular examples. They then claimed to have learned this technique of riding the motorcycle from an exchange with the police department of Victoria, Australia in 2013.

Pro-democracy Hong Kong lawmaker Chu Hoi-Dick inquired the Australian police, who responded that they did not practice this riding technique, nor do they have any records of interactions with the Hong Kong Police.

#IPCC Police Review Report Criticised for Being False and Biased

IPCC published its report on the anti-ELAB movement. Yuen Long District Councillor Tommy Cheung commented on the report on 17 May during RTHK’s City Forum program. Cheung said that he did not expect anything from the report: “you can’t be disappointed when you don’t have any expectation, but this report still blew our minds.”

He pointed out that the “facts” in the report were partial. In one instance, the report cited fake news and a fake poster calling for protest in Yuen Long on July 22, 2019 from Chinese social media, Weibo. Though it was known to be fake, the report still claimed that it was from LIHKG forum.

Cheung criticised IPCC for failing to verify its source and questioned the credibility of the report. IPCC council member Chan Kam-wing admitted that they “did not investigate”.

Cheung also indicated that the report reduced the July 21 incident into a “conflict between the black-clad and the white-clad". In reality, the white-clad gangsters did not just attack black-clad citizens, but also train passengers and passersby including a pregnant lady.

Moreover, the report justified the police’s claims such as “I can’t read the watch” and “I can’t see any weapon” as a “public relations” problem. Cheung showed that the report was biased towards the police: For instance, it was mentioned that someone tried to “freeze” the 999 call center, but in reality, they were citizens who tried to seek help.

Former Student Union President of the Education University Leung Yiu-ting, who was arrested during the 8.31 Prince Edward station incident, questioned why the police never seek information from witnesses. This contradicts the police saying that they want to investigate.

Who is the lawbreaker?

Young protestors stormed into the Legislative Council last July to show their disappointment towards the deteriorating rule of law in Hong Kong. They insisted leaving money in a small collection basket for drinks taken from the cooler even in an extreme state of fury and fear. They also left behind a hand-written note reinstating that they would not steal like a thief.

However, a riot police who is well trained to enforce the law in Hong Kong, snatched a bottled water from a convenient stall during an operation in public and walked away without paying. Did he not just deliberately break the law?

If the incident was not caught on video and later gone rival on internet, would this police officer take the trouble to go back to the shop and pay?

Gun Versus Camera; Persistence Equals Hope

In response to China's National People's Congress ramming a National Securtiy Law towards Hong Kong, the local population cannot stand just sitting around doing nothing and letting their rights freedom be taken away.

The protest on May 24, 2020 is Hongkongers' reminder for one another: "Only when there is persistence can there be hope; if you give up, who will fight for you?"

Special Tactical Squad Commander Provides Witness Testimony 6 Months Later in "Rioting" Case, Unable to Recall Details

On July 28th, 2019, a newly married couple and 17 y/o Ms. Lee were charged with rioting after clashes in Sheung Wan. The case was reviewed at court yesterday afternoon and Poon, the STS Commander at the time admitted to have provided verbal evidence 6 months after the arrest. During the 6 months, he took part in around 50 operations and is unable to recall the details of what happened on July 28th.

When asked why he spoke out 6 months after the arrest, Poon refused to give a direct response and claimed the manager of the case invited him to provide evidence. Poon also claimed that he was only one of the many commanders during the operation and his colleagues already took note of his verbal evidence before going on court.
