Police shot a sponge grenade at a Reporter at Short Distance

At around 0121 in Mongkok, an off-air reporter from Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK) saw a police officer having a dispute with a reporter from another broadcast station. The police accused the reporter of assault.

The Commercial Radio reporter tried to film the scene but was then shot by the police with a sponge grenade. The grenade hit his backpack and he was unharmed.

According to another reporter, the police officer shot the Commercial Radio reporter within 5 meters.

Riot police fire around 10 rounds of tear gas towards Nathan Road at the intersection of Shanghai Street and Shan Tung Street.

Behind the scene:
3 shots were fired at first and our reporter was surrounded by toxic tear gas, dashed out of the smoke to recover at an alley and the first-aiders pulled her from Nathan Road into Sai Yeung Choi Street South while another 5 to 6 shots of tear gas were fired.

After inhaling the tear gas, people at the scene suffer immediately from tearing, coughing, choking and sore throat.

"Glory to Hong Kong" in the City's annual Pride Parade

Hong Kong Pride Parade 2019 took place on November 16 this year. The letter of no objection granted by the police lasted until 6 p.m. Near the end of the assembly, participants sang “Glory to Hong Kong” together.
