Riot police knowingly breach press freedom
Earlier today in Yoho Mall, Yuen Long, police set up cordon line for stop and search operations, targeting the press. Student press representatives were not spared. Their belongings were thoroughly searched as a PPRB officer was seen going through photos taken by the student reporters. Mild clashes were reported as a female reporter was knocked over by an officer and fell to the floor.
At around 4pm, police arrested a total of 12 citizens at the scene including a student press representative for unknown reasons.

Holiday Ruined: Police Pepper-sprayed Civilians in Mall

Netizens initiated "Dragon Boat Festival - Shop with You" event in Yuen Long. After a short time of conflict, with police frisking and arresting civilians in mall, a group of riot police suddenly charged into the Mall at around 1900. They pepper-sprayed civilians and district councilor Lam Chun.
Some civilians felt unwell afterwards and received medical treatment. One of them pointed out in an interview that "someone in plaincloth" pepper-sprayed him twice, making him unable to open his eyes. The area around his eyes was red and swollen.
