2 More Civilians Leave PolyU Campus Escorted by Volunteer First-aiders
0356 | At midnight, two students, aged 21 and 22, both from the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), left the #PolyU campus with the help of a voluntary first aider. They were first registered by the Police before being sent to the hospital. The first-aiders who persuaded them to exit Poly U stated that both students were in poor condition, and were completely worn out. They showed symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as they were on constant alert in fear of sudden Police manoeuvres into the University. The first-aiders spent a lot of time to convince the duo to leave. The first-aider also stated that at least 20 civilians were still seeking refuge within the Poly U campus. Some of them began developing suicidal thoughts, and from his knowledge, at least 5 civilians have developed a tendency to harm themselves by cutting their hands with sharp objects. The situation of those inside PolyU campus had been alarming to many.

Hongkonger Charged Under National Security Law, Bail Denied: "The Fruit of Democracy is Bought with Blood and Sweat"
Ma Chun-man, better known as "Captain America 2.0", was arrested in Tseung Kwan O on charge of "inciting others to commit secession", the trial began on Nov 24, 2020 at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts.
Prosecutors alleged that Ma shouted the pro-independence slogans for many times and committed the offence on 19 occasions from August 15 to November 22, 2020.
The defendant's bail application was denied. Chief magistrate So Wai-tak considered that Ma had high risk of reoffending as he was arrested for 7 times between August and November, and then ordered the case adjourned until February 10, 2021.
When Ma was taken to the detention room, he shouted for
three times, "Democracy is bought with blood and sweat!"

Hong Kong Police Deny Having Tortured Hospitalized Elderly Despite Captured by Surveillance Camera
Three Hong Kong police officers were arrested for torturing a 62-year-old man at North District Hospital in June 2019.
They were charged with "misconduct in public office" and "alternate assaults occasioning actual bodily harm". Two of them pled guilty and are remanded in custody. The third officer Lam Yik-sing pled not guilty to the charges and continued to represent himself in court.
Lam argued that what he saw in the ward on that day was different from the surveillance camera footage. Judge Chan Chung-hang questioned Lam if he was talking about a different angle and challenged him, “are you saying that the surveillance camera footage was fake?” Then, Lam clarified that he referred to a different angle.
