Sai Wan Ho Crowd Gathered to Support Under Siege CUHK Students

The crowd gathering in Sai Wai Ho kept growing and there were over a thousand at the scene. The protesters claimed” We cannot let the CUHK students sacrifice themselves in vain, there are many wounded in No.2 Bridge. This is the Hong Kong version of Tiananmen Square, everyone who came out here are with conscience, I hope everyone would not feel helpless and go home. Be a scout if you cannot help on frontline, come and set roadblock if you are strong.”

Former Univetsity Head Said Consensus with Police Reached, But Large Number of Police Heading to CUHK
2242 | Joseph Sung, former President of CUHk had reached the scene, "I hope everyone would disperse peacefully tonight. The school had already reached a consensus with the police, please stop throwing objects on the road and we will be able to leave tonight. Please take care of the injured. He added that 3 of the arrested students had been bailed and two more are treated by doctor. The police had already retreated, both sides will need to take a step back for everyone to leave the scene peacefully.
At 2248, an extremely large group of police vehicles heading towards Sha Tin from Tai Wai, the direction of CUHK, in contrast of the 'retreating' claims from the police earlier.

At 22:49 in Tsuen Wan, protesters burnt nearby trash and set roadblocks. Police fired a few rounds of tear gas but did not charge forward. They left after confronting withe protesters for a while. Meanwhile, protesters shouted to one another “Push forward! How could you face your brothers and sisters in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is at war there!”
