Huawei Founder admitted Taiwan is Top No. 1 in Chips manufacturing; 3 key defects in China Semiconductors Industry

(11 Nov) Under the current Sino-American technology battle, Huawei becomes a target by western countries as its dominant role of assisting the Chinese government in monitoring communities in China and overseas. 10th November 2020, in Huawei Xinsheng (phonetic, meaning thoughts) blog, REN Zhengfei, founder of Huawei, shared that Huawei is in very difficult time following by the American actions breaking the chips manufacturing chain of Huawei. REN asks Chinese to understand thoroughly about chips manufacturing industry in China - though manufacturing under China is advance, the best No. 1 is from Taiwan.

"Though Huawei has been accumulating lot of experiences in chips manufacturing and design, ahead of some of other countries, we are not the best. It's Taiwan", said REN in a seminar with 9 high school Headmasters earlier.

REN added that the chips manufacturing under China is having issues of industrial foundation and substandard chemical. Every equipment and machine for chips manufacturing should bear highest technology. China and Huawei do not have enough talents and experts to design and produce such equipment and machines.

In the short-sighted market and development under Chinese government direction, nobody wishes to spend substantial cost to make such equipment and it is also time-consuming. Despite making one or few, it is not economical worthy because of the low demand (short-sighting commercial players can't see the true value). REN stressed that this is a big issue of government policy, asking the Chinese government to value such equipment manufacturing and chemical chain development.
