Was joking when I say the hack was 'casual'. According to Facebook:
"This activity had the hallmarks of a well-resourced and persistent operation, while obfuscating who's behind it," (bit.ly/3lLi8wY).
'Earth Empusa' or 'Evil Eye' targeted ~500 activists, journalists and dissidents in hopes to install spying software on their devices.
Guess they want to keep tabs on them even they are out of CCP's grips? Disgusting.

"These criminal charges once again highlight that China continues to use cyber-enabled attacks to steal what other countries make, in flagrant disregard of its bilateral and multilateral commitments," Deputy U.S. Attorney General Lisa Monaco said as four #Chinese nationals are charged for an international hacking campaign. Victims were across #Europe, #America and the #MiddleEast. A #cybersecurity expert called the joined condemnation a successful effort to coordinate allies, but not useful unless followed by concrete actions. #CCP must not be let off and must pay for its crimes.
