US to Bar Members of "Communist Party or any other totalitarian party" From Immigration
On Oct 2, 2020, the US Citizen and Immigration Serives (#USCIS) in their Policy Manual announced an "inadmissibility based on membership in or affiliation with the Communist Party or any other totalitarian party". The new policy is likely to prevent Chinese Communist Party members from obtaining citizenship in the U.S.
Meanwhile, according to the Press Release of the US Department of State on Sept 20, 2020, the United States anticipates receiving more than 300,000 new refugees and asylum claims in Fiscal Year 2021. It is the first time Hong Kong is listed in the proposed refugee resettlement program.
The press release writes the aim of the program is to "assist refugees and other displaced people as close to their homes as possible until they can safely and voluntarily return to rebuild their lives, their communities, and their countries."

Encouraging Hong Kong people to receive organs supplied by CCP Mainland, LO Chung Mau: HKU Shenzhen Hospital to manage all the transplantation surgeries
(11 Feb) LO Chung Mau, Head of the HKU Shenzhen Hospital, expressed that there were only 60 liver transplantation surgeries last year in Hong Kong. However, there were 6,000 cases of transplantation in Mainland China, including donations by voluntary donors apart from death prisoners. While CCP Mainland has its resources to manage organ supplies and surgeries, LO encourages Hong Kong residents to receive organs transplantations from Mainland China. Figures show dozens of Hong Kong residents visit Mainland China every year looking for organs donors, though it is difficult for them who do not have sysmetic mechanism to identify situable donors.

'China's experimental Covid-19 vaccine appears safe'
An experimental coronavirus vaccine being developed by the Institute of Medical Biology under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was shown to be safe in an early stage clinical trial, researchers said.In a Phase 1 trial of 191 healthy participants aged between 18 and 59, vaccination with the group's experimental shot showed no severe adverse reactions, its researchers said on Tuesday in a paper posted on medRxiv preprint server ahead of peer review. The most common adverse reactions reported by the trial participants were mild pain, slight fatigue and redness, itching and swelling at the injection site. The candidate also induced immune response."All the data obtained in this trial support the safety and immunogenicity of this inactivated vaccine and are encouraging with regard to further studies of its efficacy in the future," the paper said. The mainland has inoculated hundreds of thousands of essential workers and other groups considered at high risk with other vaccines, even as clinical trials had not been fully completed, raising safety concerns among experts. The mainland has at least four experimental vaccines in the final stage of clinical trials. China hits back at Pompeo 'smearing' in Japan visit
China said on Wednesday that the United States should stop its unprovoked attacks and accusations against China, accusing US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of maliciously creating political confrontation and smearing Beijing.Pompeo on Tuesday visited Japan and called for deeper cooperation with Australia, India and Japan to counter China's growing regional influence."Pompeo has repeatedly fabricated lies about China and maliciously created political confrontation," the Chinese embassy in Japan said in a statement."We once again urge the US to abandon its Cold War mentality and ideological prejudice, stop unprovoked accusations and attacks against China and treat relations with China in a constructive manner," the embassy said.Pompeo's East Asia visit, his first in more than a year, coincides with worsening tensions with China. The world's top two economies are at loggerheads over a wide range of issues from Beijing's handling of the coronavirus to its imposition of a new security law in Hong Kong and ambitions in the South China Sea.Pompeo's call for the Quad nations of the US, Japan, India and Australia to form a united front against China's growing influence is a sensitive subject for its regional allies, which are reliant on China for trade. China’s recent actions around the world is like a "lawless bully" said U.S. top diplomat for East Asia
As the U.S. election approaches, U.S. officials are becoming increasingly vocal in their criticism of China. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs David Stilwell on Thursday described China's recent actions around the world were not those of a responsible global actor, but of a "lawless bully”.
In a testimony for Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, Stilwell said the United States was not asking countries to choose sides on the China issue, but to stand up against its "malign" behaviour and to protect their own sovereignty and economic interests.
Stilwell also said that U.S. competition with China need not lead to conflict, and that the United States sought to cooperate with Beijing where interests aligned, for instance on North Korea.
Mr. Stalin said that in the past few months there had been "particularly egregious examples of Beijing’s conduct," including conflicts along the China-India border, "aggressive" moves in the South China Sea, around Taiwan, and with Japan over disputed waters. He also highlighted the Communist Party's attempts to "wipe out" Mongolian and Tibetan culture, "a continued campaign of repression and forced labor" in Xinjiang, and a "draconian" National Security Law in Hong Kong which "were not those of a responsible global actor, but of a lawless bully", he said.
