Swedish Gold Medalist says China's hosting of Olympics 'extremely irresponsible' amid human rights abuses
//Swedish speed skater Nils van der Poel, who won two gold medals at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, on Sunday, February 13, 2022, condemned the International Olympic Committee (#IOC) as being "extremely irresponsible" in handing over the games to a country that "violates human rights as blatantly" as China does.
25-year-old Nils van der Poel took gold in the men's 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter speed skating competitions at the 2022 Winter Olympics, setting the world record in the latter.
...He compared the games to the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
He said that the Olympics is a "fantastic sporting event where you unite the world and nations meet," but he added that "so did Hitler before invading Poland, and so did Russia before invading Ukraine," referring to the German invasion of Poland in 1939 and the invasion of Ukrainian territory in Crimea by Russia in 2014.
As for Beijing's hosting of the Winter Games, Van de Poel said, "I think it is extremely irresponsible to give it to a country that violates human rights as blatantly as the Chinese regime is doing."//

Mocking US of pandemic failure, Xinhua net's post in Weibo elicit overwhelming criticism from China netizens
The Chinese state media Xinhua net official Weibo posted an article this week criticising the US again for "being ineffective in pandemic spread prevention", saying that "the cumulative number of cases confirmed in the US exceeds 60 million" and that "netizens lament the failure of the US to fight the pandemic". The post, those comment section was open, triggered an overwhelming criticism from netizens accusing the China government of its brutal implementation of the Covid-Zero policy. Xinhua net eventually close the comment feature, and the comments from self-media were also blocked.
China's pandemic trend has always been a sensitive topic, any discussion on such social issues is often blocked by internet administrators. However, criticism of US pandemic treatment has been an exception. On Monday (Jan 10), the Xinhua net mocked US failure in pandemic policy for having more than 60 million confirmed cases.

🔹CCP publishes a new translation
🔻The Chinese Communist Party has announced that it intends to update the Bible. These revisions include adding "basic socialist values" and removing sections that do not reflect communist beliefs. The Chinese government announced the project in 2019. This new translation is to be adapted to socialist and Confucian beliefs.
🔻 Last year, an example of these changes was published in a high school textbook. In the textbook, the party education system has changed several verses from John 8. As the Bible tells us, Jesus forgives a woman despite the Pharisees' invitation to stone her according to the law of Moses. However, in this translation the story has changed, and according to this translation, Christ is stoning the woman ,And Jesus confessed, "I am also a sinner." In fact, this translation is supposed to ignore the divinity of Jesus Christ.
🔻Churches seem to be in greater need of Bible importing from abroad, following recent attempts by the Chinese Communist government to restrict Christian religious freedom.
🔻For decades, the Chinese Communist Party has been trying to gain more control over the people every day, so they are trying to make the people better servants of the Chinese Communist Party. They know very well the true nature of Christ's message takes control out of the Communist Party.
🔻Religious freedom groups have recently called on Christians around the world to boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics over Chinese harassment of Christians and other religious minorities.
