【人權學堂：SIM卡實名登記制－全球四成國家未有保護個人資料法規】

港府擬推行「 SIM卡實名登記制」，規定電訊商收集和儲存電話用户的身份資料。全球現有超過150個國家實行SIM卡實名」，大部份國家只要求市民買電話卡時出示身份證明文件，部分國家如中國、印度等則有些國家則要求市民掃瞄人臉、指紋等生物特徵核實身份。

根據GSMA（全球移動通訊協會）統計，全球四成（74個）已推行「SIM卡實名制」的國家，未有保護私隱或個人資料的政策和法律框架，變相容許政府長期儲存市民個人資料和生物特徵，並用作其他用途。
