英國有港人家庭正招聘家居照顧者，以照顧家中80多歲、患失智症（dementia）的長者（需要24小時照顧；女士）。家居照顧者需負責該名長者的基本起居飲食、上厠所、外出散步等工作，可選全職、兼職甚或入住照顧。時間彈性，但必須有愛心和耐性，有相關照顧者/院舍服務的經驗為佳，可長期參與為佳。歡迎有愛心的在英年輕人。
We are looking for an experienced Cantonese-speaking caregiver to work either full-time, part time or live in our client’s home in Queensway to assist a dementia elderly with daily tasks as agreed in the care plan. There will be other professional Cantonese speaking carers working in the daytime alongside the caregiver between 8 am to 6 or 7pm every day.
Your role would include helping the client with tasks such as:
Essential support for personal hygiene
Assisting with washing and dressing
Meal preparation and feeding
Prompting or administering medication
Helping to mobilise with the help of another carer at home and assisting with gentle
physiotherapy exercise
Providing companionship to support emotional well-being
Light Housekeeping
Requirements
Must be fluent in spoken Cantonese
Experience working in a caregiver role. Ideally experience of taking care of dementia patient
You must have a right to work in the UK
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to be paid for by the employer.
Good references from current and former employers
Working Hours
Full-time: At least 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday or Saturday. 1.5 to 2 days off per week
(negotiable)
Part-time: Three to ten hours per visit
Live-in: work around 8 hours per day / alternate nights
Salary and time off
This will include 5.6 weeks paid holiday and pension. Weekly salary £525 to £1000 depending on
experience and amount of time when the backup carer will be needed.
