列斯手足連線致力與本地MP建立溝通關係，以表達居英港人之需要及爭取互相支持。較早前曾電郵聯絡所有本地MP，成功約見其中兩位，將會有代表成員分別於6月23日及6月30日約見以下兩位MP

Hongkongers in Leeds is dedicated to establishing communication with local Members of Parliament (MPs) to express the needs of Hong Kong residents in the UK and advocate for mutual support. 【港人組織聯署要求慧妍社回應公眾疑慮】

//慧妍社作為獲英國政府BN(O)歡迎計劃撥款近四萬英鎊的組織，有責任確保大眾在安全、私隱受到保障，並且無中共政治聯繫隱憂下，接受貴機構提供的英國政府資助服務；以上均屬申請撥款時英國當局要求的必要條件。

然而，我們經由傳媒調查得知，貴組織主席邱李惠霞與中國共產黨及中國駐英機構疑似有密切關係，包括出席中國共產黨黨慶。而貴組織及中國駐英機構的網站中也有明確證據反映傳媒及公眾的指控。

貴組織過去強調政治中立，卻言行不一。當中包括

（一）慧妍社主席邱李惠霞出席「曼徹斯特領區旅英僑界慶祝中國共產黨成立100周年大會」

（二）慧妍社與曾襲擊港人的中國駐曼城領事館等中國駐外機構的關係密切

（三）孔子學院與慧妍社的關係

（四）慧妍社各管理層和中國共產黨的關係

作為關注香港及中國人權問題的各在英港人組織，我們憂慮慧妍社與中共的政治聯繫與其組織向港人提供服務存利益衝突，將無法保障服務使用者的利益，甚至危及整個在英港人社區的安全。

就上述疑慮，我們敦促慧妍社務必於2023年7月5日前公開回應公眾各界及各港人組織的疑慮。假若貴組織無法釋除相關疑慮，我們將考慮呼籲各界避免使用貴組織服務，以避免承受莫大風險。

Hong Kong, City of Terror: All that we lost…

Nowadays, Hong Kong is facing threats from the National Security Law imposed abruptly by the CCP and the Hong Kong Government. There are numerous taboos and an atmosphere of fear prevailing throughout the region.

We are organising an exhibition on 22 July in Leeds City Centre to showcase the extensive losses experienced in Hong Kong as a result of the implementation of the National Security Law. The exhibition will cover various aspects including freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of election, freedom of academia, and more. Our aim is to raise awareness among the local community about the suppression and infringement faced by the people of Hong Kong under the totalitarian government.

國安法下的香港，紅線死線處處。政權以惡法散播恐懼，為求使全宇宙港人畏懼。

列斯手足連線將於7月22日於Leeds City centre 舉辦展覽，展示於現今香港已經失去的各種事物，主題包括了出版自由、集會自由、言論自由、選舉或被選舉自由、學術自由等議題，讓本地人了解國安法下的香港，政權如何限制、侵犯及迫害香港人。

Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Nathan Law's family has reportedly been detained by the city's national security police. Law, who is currently in exile in the UK, expressed concern over their safety, raising further alarm about the Chinese government's crackdown on dissent in Hong Kong.

To support Hongkongers, particularly those in exile due to the totalitarian government, you can make a difference by signing the petition below. It calls on the UK government to impose sanctions on officials involved in the oppressive National Security Law. Please sign and help us!

確實較早前我們也收到線報，指黑警 關家榮可能住在列斯。他在2019年11月11日早上，於香港島西灣河的示威當中，向一名手無寸鐵的示威者使用實彈開槍，令該名示威者腎臟及肝臟嚴重受損，一度有生命危險。

現階段仍未能証實消息是否屬實，希望各列斯香港人協助多加留意，如有相關發現，歡迎PM 我們。

列斯手足連線較早前以問卷形式訪問了列斯港人關注的事項，並成功約見了兩位MP, 分別是Fabian Hamilton MP Leeds North East 以及 Alex Sobel MP Leeds North West. 會面中我們交代了港人關注的事項，如人身安全、言論自由、英國對香港政府的立場及制裁問題、MPF、就業、教育等各方面的議題。兩位MP 都表示支持港人及會跟進各項提出的議題，以下是兩位MP 的工作跟進：

Fabian Hamilton MP:
1. 他作為 Shadow Minister of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, 強調理解港人對自身安全嘅擔憂，亦都強調政府應該對保護港人言論自由有更強硬立場同更多措施
2. 承諾定期與我們會面，了解香港人所遇到的問題。如有列斯朋友有需要亦可一同約見。
3. 承諾約見Special branch in West Yorkshire Police, 查詢關於人身安全及中共祕密警察等議題
4. 會致函相關Ministers 及 Shadow Ministers有關港人人身安全、旅遊證件、黎智英及其他政治檢控的案件等等議題
5. 會稍後就我們提出的問題給予正式答覆
6. 表示樂意出席港人的活動，如向港人解釋英國政治制度等，加強對港人社群的聯繫
7. 會致函 FCA 詢問有關香港人開銀行戶口的ethnicity的事宜
7. 會致函DoJ查詢有關DBS check exempt 良民證

有關於我們問卷收集到某些個人問題，如租賃樓宇、DBS checking、asylum seeking 等問題，兩位MP 都呼籲港人應與自己所屬選區的MP 聯絡，以便他們跟進。他們並不能代替非自己選區的區民跟進，所以大家請主動去聯絡MP 幫手！
