🇪🇺 They accuse the government and the EU of favoring big business over small farmers: thousands of farmers are ruined by these policies, there is a farmer suicide every two days.

🦠 COVID-19 has further exacerbated these inequalities, literally ruining hundreds of farms...

🏛️ In the center of France, in Clermont Ferrand, thousands of demonstrators converged to "besiege" the Prefecture (regional governor).

✊🏻 These tensions raise fears of politicization of the farmers, who normally stay away from public debate.

🌳 Some people are already talking about the possibility of a hybrid revolt, an axis of "Gilets Jaunes" & "Bonnets rouges", rural France, opposed to globalized cities.

📌 It is still far too early to attribute power to this farmers' revolt. But it is a very important indicator to look at: historically, in France, every time the farmers enter the arena, the power trembles and falls.

🇫🇷✊🏾 CAMP OF AFRICAN MIGRANTS IN THE HEART OF PARIS

👉🏻 Thousands of African migrants gathered in Paris and formed a camp on the Place de la République, the most famous square in Paris.

ℹ️ The migrants were suppprted by the far-left NGO "UTOPIA 56," which is notably known for having received direct and indirect support from philanthropist George Soros' Open Society Foundation. Hundreds of tents were offered to the migrants free of charge and buses were chartered.

🚩 Some far-left elected officials, notably members of Mélenchon's neo-Marxist party (LFI), support this camp. They had already given their support to the occupation of the Royal Basilica of Saint-Denis by migrants or to another similar operation a few months ago.

Revolutionary Weapons - Renault FT [Part1/2] - Development & Production

🔎 Today we will discuss the story of the first tank ever made, the glorious Renault FT. (Keep in mind that the name "FT-17" was created only after the war by British authors, it was not used by France in official WW1 documents).

🇫🇷 This tank, created by the French, played a key role in helping the Entente powers win WW1.

👉🏻 It also led to a massive breakthrough in military history, especially for France : the use of light tanks on the battlefield.
It was a huge improvement over the Schneider CA1 and the Saint-Chamond, as those heavy tanks were very prone to breakdowns and were not the best solution for a nation in crisis, like France was during the First World War.
Louis Renault's tank embodied a different approach, rather than big and in low numbers, small tanks in swarms in order to have more vehicles than the enemy had anti-tank equipment.
Some of the features introduced in the FT, such as the rotating turret and the subdivision in compartments, can still be found in modern MBTs (Main Battle Tanks) of today!
