Also known as “Pang Jai”, the historic Yen Chow Street Hawker Bazaar in Kowloon’s Sham Shui Po district has been open since 1978. But it will soon be torn down to make way for a new public housing estate despite attempts from concern groups to preserve it.

香港防疫政策撤底放寬，但由政府主辦的年宵市場，連續第四年無乾貨攤位；由「時代策劃」的民間年宵「大家市集」早前公布，星期三到星期六會在土瓜灣「土家」故事館舉行，參與的包括由釋囚創立的「荔記」、「yellowland hk」等，但主辦單位今日下午宣布，因發生「不可預測的情況」，為保障檔主及顧客利益，最終決定取消「大家市集」。
「大家市集」搞手之一、荔記尚木在 ig 發文，指他今次打算辦年宵市集，當初是抱著「如果行年宵冇乾貨賣就自己搞一個！」的想法，但結果非常困難，而家嘅香港，已經連一個市集都容不下，當開始打算舉辦市集就「感受到到各方壓力」，尚未開始宣傳「當時IG只係得100個follower左右，已經開始收到電話」，到進入宣傳期就有不同「壓力搵上門」，由於「不可抗力」，決定終止市集，「事到如今，真係新年流流都要講一句『我屌你老母』」。

Queensland HongKongers Inc. is organising the HongKongers Festival on the 26th of Jan, entrance is FREE to the event. There will be Hong Kong-style curry fish balls, fish Siu Mai, steamed rice rolls, chicken wings, and Hong Kong-style milk tea and lemon tea prepared by our volunteers. Please pre-purchase food vouchers to allow adequate time for our volunteers to prepare the food. The $10 food voucher includes a portion of food and a drink, which you could redeem at one of the three designated time periods.
Time slots:
- 12pm to 1:30pm
- 1:30pm to 3pm
- 3pm to 4:30pm
