Kwai Tsing District Council passes motion to set up Lennon Wall, Three pro-establishment councilors abstain

The Kwai Ching District Council held a special meeting on January 16, during which councillors include Leung Ching-shan motioned to set up a Lennon Wall by the council in the community, as a channel for residents to air their opinions.

Councillor Leung Kar-ming, a member of the pro-Beijing DAB said that she had received complaints from residents that messages on the Lennon Wall “scared the kids”.

The motion was passed by the majority with 3 abstention votes.
