A 68-year-old Polish-born artist—whose father died in communist-controlled Poland in 1965 after having been incarcerated in a concentration camp during World War II—is raising awareness of the #ChineseCommunistParty’s ongoing abuses against children.
Artist Barbara Schafer's oil painting “The Sea of Suffering” was produced in honor of the silent suffering of #FalunGong children who have died or lost parents as a result of the #CCP’s now-22-year persecution against the faith.
“Chinese children are being bullied for their faith, many are excluded from school, punished for attending church and religious activities outside of school, forced into reciting anti-religion and pro-atheism slogans, and coerced into signing documents renouncing their faith,” says Barbara Schafer.
