1 of the men involved in the mob attack on July 21, 2019 told the judge that he received orders from the government. However, the judge interrupted him to reveal more information.

“If I don’t say it today, I won’t have another chance,” Ching told judge Anthea Pang in Cantonese.
“I thought the government was telling me to do it. It was that simple,” Ching said. In response, the judge said “I have to stop you now,” adding that an appeal hearing was not a retrial and the court did not allow for expressions of personal feeling.

The mob attack known as #721YuenLongTerrorAttack in Yuen Long has long been suspected to be organized by authorities. Photos has been taken showing that police and the attackers walking together after the incidence. Police brigade closed its gate when citizen sought for help.
Law-maker Ho Kwan-yuen also shook hands with gang leaders right before the attack.
