Hong Kong #Court Denies Bail, Accusing Pro-democracy student of "resisting police arrest" during #AntiELAB movement
Former Hong Kong Baptist University (#HKBU) students' union president #KeithFong Chung-yin was arrested in August 2019 after buying 10 laser pointers.
He has been acquitted of possessing offensive weapons, but was found guilty of resisting a police officer during his arrest and perverting the course of justice.
District Judge Douglas Yau refused to grant the 23-year-old bail while he awaits sentencing next month.
